Privacy policy
Last updated September 23, 2026
This policy explains what information AveoNote collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. AveoNote is operated by AveoNote in the Philippines.
The short version
- Your notes and files are private unless you share them.
- We use your information to run AveoNote, not to sell it. We don’t sell your personal information.
- When you use AI features, your photos and text are sent to our AI provider to be processed.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that we can’t read.
- Study materials: notes, photos, PDFs, and other files you upload or create.
- Optional profile details: such as your school, program, and year level, if you choose to add them.
- Messages to us: feedback, questions, and reports you send.
Information collected automatically
- Security information: your IP address when you log in, request a code, or send feedback, used to block abuse and repeated password guessing.
- Usage records: how many AI generations you’ve used, and when, so we can apply plan limits.
- Cookies: see the cookies section below.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, including sending login and verification codes.
- To store your notes and files and show them to you and anyone you share them with.
- To turn your photos and materials into notes, quizzes, and other study content when you ask.
- To apply plan limits and, once Premium launches, to manage your subscription.
- To answer your messages and fix problems.
- To keep AveoNote safe, including investigating reports of misuse.
We don’t use your notes or files to advertise to you, and we don’t sell your personal information.
Services that help us run AveoNote
We use trusted service providers. They only receive what they need to do their job for us.
- Hostinger: hosts our website and database, including your account and notes.
- Backblaze: stores the files you upload, in a private storage space in the United States.
- kie.ai: our AI service provider, which sends your photos and text to AI models, such as Anthropic’s Claude, to produce your study content. kie.ai may keep request records for up to two months and generated media for up to 14 days.
- Resend: sends our emails, such as your login codes.
- Google Fonts: provides the fonts on our pages, which means your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
Some of these providers store or process information outside the Philippines, including in the United States and Japan. We choose providers that protect information with reasonable security measures.
Sharing and visibility
- Your notes are private by default. They’re visible to others only when you share them with specific people or groups.
- We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
- Our staff don’t browse your private notes. Access to private content is limited to handling reports, support you ask for, or legal requirements.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that AveoNote needs to work:
- Login cookie: keeps you logged in during your visit.
- Remembered device cookie: only if you tick “Remember this device.” It lets you skip the login code on that device for 30 days.
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies right now. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first.
How long we keep information
We keep your account, notes, and files while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your notes and files. Some records, such as security logs, are removed automatically after a short time. Backups may keep deleted information for a limited period before it’s overwritten.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, email login codes, private file storage, and limits on repeated login attempts. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal information is used.
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Object to processing, or ask us to delete or block your information.
- Get a copy of your information in a commonly used format.
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To use any of these rights, email support@aveonote.com from the email address on your account.
Students under 18
AveoNote is made for college students. If you’re under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use it. If a parent or guardian believes their child gave us information without permission, they can contact us and we’ll delete it.

If we make important changes, we’ll update the date at the top and let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
